Kaye L. Crandall

Kaye is the Owner/Chief Executive Officer for both EPI Group, LLC & EPI Protection, LLC and has over 20 years of experience in business and business management. After starting her business management career in real estate property management, she joined EPI Group, LLC, in November of 2002. She was the first employee of the company and was instrumental in growing the business which included setting up all the company departments, creating job descriptions, and then hiring and training all of the department heads. Her role as Director of Operations included sales & marketing, client acquisition, service and tracking, event coordination, and overseeing jointly held seminars with a local law firm. After overseeing the move of the company from Bloomfield Hills, MI to Southfield, MI, she also acquired the additional responsibility of managing the company payroll. On August 25, 2017, she purchased both of her companies (EPI Group, LLC and EPI Protection, LLC) from their founder, Jay Melody.

Kaye pursued further education in both business management and accounting; and in 2003, she acquired her Life and Health Insurance license, soon thereafter founding the Estate Planning Institute for Women, LLC.

Kaye and her husband, Richard, have 4 children and recently welcomed their first grandchild! They both love serving in their church, especially working with the children, trying to pass on their values of honesty, hard work and compassion. Kaye devotes her spare time to her many hobbies, which all satisfy her drive for creativity. She enjoys photography; gardening; paint pouring; sewing; and especially quilting, using her long arm quilting machine. On two occasions she has combined her passion for creativity and her entrepreneurial spirit and turned hobbies into businesses.

Kaye excels in a no-nonsense, practical business setting, bringing her warmth and compassion, as well as a strong work-ethic, to create a thriving work atmosphere and successful business. She is a strong component of making the most with the time and resources you’ve been given, not being wasteful, but fully giving your best efforts in all you do. She appreciates and encourages direct communication and, even as she herself values creativity, encourages all her employees to think creatively, always in pursuit of higher efficiency, better served clients, and a stronger business environment.
